Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related business field.
  • 2-4 years of proven experience in outside sales, exceeding targets.
  • Strong presentation skills to educate and inspire customers about our products.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in creating, composing, and editing written materials.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Suite and Salesforce.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%+) across the US and Canada. Requires a valid drivers license and passport.

Responsibilities

  • Manage retail accounts in a specified territory and key accounts assigned. This may include sales representative management within specified territory.
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential accounts.
  • Maintain a suitable cadence of contact with all accounts in the territory to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Develop annual business plan in conjunction with National Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year to achieve company business objectives.
  • Maximizes all opportunities in the sales process resulting in sales growth and margin improvement.
  • Maintains accurate records in Salesforce of all sales and prospecting activities including emails, phone calls, and visits.
  • Prepare action plans to identify specific targets and new placement opportunities within existing distribution.
  • Provide product and program training to retailers.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, retail sales data or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Must possess the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers and to give effective presentations to both retailers and end consumers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to gather, submit detailed business information, pricing, and presentation of solutions to key accounts and prospects.
  • Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
  • Participates and contributes to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects and company employees.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and other events.
