About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager for the Central/NE US Regions for MUTOH America, Inc. is responsible for sales in the assigned region to support wide format printers, supplies, and services. The Regional Sales Manager focuses on new business development and channel management to analyze regional markets, discover new opportunities, and train resellers on MUTOH America, Inc. products, and services. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in sales, account management, and business development within the print industry, with a focus on large format printers. This position reports to the Director of Sales and works remotely from the assigned region.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in larger format printer sales.
  • Experience maintaining and building client relationships.
  • Identifying new business leads and contacting prospective dealers.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong negotiation skills required.
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written).
  • Superior phone etiquette and ability to communicate effectively with internal or external customers, peers, and management.
  • Strong computer skills necessary including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Experience working in CRM (e.g. Salesforce & HubSpot)
  • Bending, sitting, lifting, driving, and flying.
  • 50%-70% travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field promotional work to sell and secure new business, to include all markets, major accounts and/or develop sales and secure business in territory, within new industries, or with customers where full market potential or product line acceptance has not been established.
  • Build, track, and grow sales opportunities in the territory through weekly/monthly forecasts.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with new and existing dealers.
  • Demonstrate products and assist prospective accounts to select those that best suit their needs.
  • Demonstrate and familiarize established accounts with new products (services).
  • Develop, train, and provide direction, support, and sales resources to resellers and their sales teams.
  • Coordinate with marketing and product departments for sample creation to support reseller sales teams.
  • Investigate and expedite product claims and complaints and assist in resolving problems and recommend corrective action.
  • Keep dealers informed on competitive products, promotional matters, sales techniques, pricing, and new market opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports on activities, sales volume, etc.
  • Travel for dealer events, trade shows, required reseller visits, and MUTOH sales events.
