About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager will own sales strategy and execution for the northern U.S. region, collaborating closely with retail partners, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to influence product adoption, lead trial programs, and shape the future of sustainable packaging solutions. Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking, field-level execution, and strong communication skills to engage customers and internal teams effectively. The role involves significant travel and offers the autonomy to drive results in a remote-first environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the packaging or food supply chain industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, negotiate effectively, and close new business.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for internal collaboration and external client engagement.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with sound decision-making skills and the ability to resolve issues promptly.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays, and reside near a major airport in the northern U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary sales contact for new and existing accounts within the protein category in the northern U.S. region.
  • Develop and execute customer engagement strategies, including face-to-face meetings, trial programs, and participation in industry events.
  • Achieve revenue and profit goals while maintaining sales volume, product mix, and pricing aligned with market trends and business objectives.
  • Partner with grocery retailers and internal teams to identify new business opportunities and drive adoption of solutions.
  • Monitor sales performance, maintain accurate Salesforce data, and provide regular reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Procurement to ensure alignment on order fulfillment, strategic initiatives, and pilot programs.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, resolving issues and securing agreements.
