We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Engineer Western US to join our new Process Cooling sales team in the Eco Solutions division! California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington The Regional Sales Engineer is key to the success of the chiller and data center business in the United States.  The successful candidate will have strong sales, relationship building, leadership and communication skills at all levels of an organization.  Additionally, the successful Regional Sales Engineer will have a strong strategic grasp of the market and the ability to contribute to go to market strategy.  The Regional Sales Engineer will be expected to provide actionable competitor intelligence and regular performance analysis to sales management.

Requirements

  • Bachelors, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Sales Engineer in the HVAC, process cooling, or data center industry.
  • Ability to travel throughout the U.S.
  • Willingness to pursue and attend additional training related to performance of job
  • Motivated and Self-Starter, able to work independently from remote locations.
  • Strong understanding of project specifications and blueprints
  • Dynamic personality with great leadership, management, sales and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of process cooling equipment design, especially chiller knowledge, is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor a target list of key data center and/or process cooling customers and work with 3rd party independent reps as appropriate to hit target sales.
  • Grow strong relationships as the point of contact for these owner customers and channel partners.
  • Build an opportunity pipeline for process cooling; provide monthly forecasts for awards and revenue; and communicate regularly with the director of process cooling.
  • Work with marketing and engineering to create compelling sales presentations & proposals highlighting LG’s value proposition and differentiation.
  • Personally sell LG cooling technologies including chiller products to both reps and customers.
  • Providing ongoing training and education of reps and customers regarding process cooling technology and LG advantages focusing on chillers
  • Enable required customer support directly or with the help of LG’s customer call center and field support teams.
  • Be an internal expert and customer advocate to influence product and process roadmap decisions.
