About The Position

Community Care provides Family Respite Services throughout the State of Maine. We are seeking a Regional Respite Manager (RRM) to oversee the program in Western/Southern. The RRM will directly supervise the Direct Support Respite Providers (DSRP's), provide support to the families receiving the service, and ensure program operations are carried out properly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a relevant position
  • an understanding of the needs of families with children who have disabilities and the systems that support them
  • exceptional organizational/time management/communication skills
  • valid State of Maine driver's license and reliable transportation as travel throughout the coverage area will be required.
  • Must be able to pass background checks including DMV, CPS, APS, and Criminal checks.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting DSRP's Provide ongoing supervision to assist DSRP's in providing high quality respite services to families and in maintaining boundaries unique to their role as a respite provider.
  • Interview DSRP applicants and assist with onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the Training Coordinator to ensure DSRP's are in compliance with training requirements.
  • Assist DSRP's in completion of administrative tasks (such as how to complete a timesheet and other documentation) as needed.
  • Supporting Families Welcome newly approved families, answer any questions they may have, and provide any information necessary to aid families in taking full advantage of the respite program.
  • Support families in connecting with a provider who is appropriate to their unique needs, including collaborating with their professional and/or natural supports.
  • Develop and utilize creative approaches to family/provider matching.
  • Supporting Program Operations Perform administrative tasks in accordance with program procedures.
  • Participate in any program meetings/trainings as required by the Respite Program Director.
  • Represent the respite program at public events and public speaking to groups wishing for information about respite services.
  • Network with agencies and organizations and individual community members who support families who utilize respite services.
