Join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Respite Care Home! In this role, you'll give families a much-needed break while creating meaningful experiences for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Whether it's at one of our cozy program sites or out in the community, you'll be the person who brings care, dignity, and joy to every interaction. What You'll Do: Create meaningful experiences: Engage people in community outings, recreational activities, or site-based programs that promote independence and enjoyment. Plan fun outings: Take someone to a local park, bowling alley, or community event where they can socialize and enjoy new experiences. Support hobbies and interests: Help a person bake cookies, do arts and crafts, listen to music, or play a favorite game. Ensure safety and dignity: Monitor health and well-being, prevent abuse or neglect, and respect each person's rights and choices. Document everything accurately: Complete daily notes, attendance records, and timesheets on time-your documentation matters for quality care and compliance. Communicate and collaborate: Work closely with families, supervisors, and team members to share updates and address concerns. Maintain a clean, safe environment: Perform light housekeeping and ensure spaces are welcoming and hazard-free. Drive and transport individuals: Safely operate agency vehicles when needed for appointments or community activities. Be the go-to person for safety, compliance, and confidentiality. Support people in living their best lives-full of choices, independence, and fun!
