Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Recruiter, preferably in the skilled trades or home services industry.
  • Solid understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing techniques, and candidate evaluation methods.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trades is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS software.
  • Experience with recruiting tools and platforms is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Excellent interviewing and assessment skills to identify the best candidates for each position.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing recruitment needs and requirements.
  • Customer service focus and mindset, putting our employees and Partners first, with excellent ability to communicate and develop relationships.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities to improve things both big and small.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions within the company, including HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and administrative staff.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and requirements.
  • Create job descriptions and postings that accurately represent the roles and attract suitable candidates.
  • Utilize various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and industry associations, to source and identify potential candidates.
  • Review resumes and applications, conduct initial screenings, and schedule interviews with qualified candidates.
  • Provide timely feedback and maintain strong communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Conduct thorough interviews to assess candidates' skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.
  • Evaluate candidates based on predefined criteria and present recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs, career events, and other recruitment activities to promote the company and attract potential candidates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.
  • Negotiate offers, handle employment contracts, and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Build and maintain a network of industry professionals, referral sources, and external partners to expand the talent pool and enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to recruitment and employment.
  • Implement innovative strategies to enhance the effectiveness of recruitment processes.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on various HR initiatives, such as employer branding, employee engagement, and talent development.
