About The Position

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and personnel management of multiple branches within a designated region. This role ensures the successful execution of business strategies, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee development. The Regional Operations Manager partners with Branch Managers and Sales leadership to drive profitability, support growth initiatives, and maintain high standards of service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing role with a proven track record of account management success.
  • At least 3 years of management experience; multi-location or multi-unit management preferred.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities with a hands-on approach to team development.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with all levels of personnel and customers.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or conflict situations.
  • Solid understanding of business principles and the ability to align regional strategies with company objectives.
  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned area.

  • Industry experience in construction, industrial supply, or a related field is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop, motivate, coach, and retain high-performing Branch/Store Managers.
  • Provide ongoing performance management and career development support to direct reports.
  • Lead and support the hiring, onboarding, and termination processes for store leadership.
  • Use company management tools and systems to drive productivity across the region.
  • Collaborate with Regional & District Sales Managers to ensure profitability, growth, and optimal return on assets for all stores in the area.
  • Monitor monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements and take corrective actions as needed to maintain financial health.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards.
  • Partner with the Divisional Operations Manager to implement processes that improve operational performance and enhance customer experience.
  • Oversee inventory control, fleet maintenance, and operational resources to ensure availability and accuracy.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of company products and services and train staff accordingly.
  • Manage and support inside sales activities, including outbound calls to house accounts.
  • Accompany sales team members on customer visits and participate in key account meetings.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute regional sales and marketing strategies.
  • Perform other managerial, administrative, or customer service responsibilities as assigned.
