The Opportunity This position works out of our Lake County IL facility. What You’ll Work On The Clara Abbott Foundation (CAF) is organized as a 501(c)(3) corporation with a separate Board of Directors and Officers to provide financial assistance to Abbott employees, retirees and their dependents. The Clara Abbott Scholarship Program (CASP) provides financial assistance to the dependents of Abbott employees and retirees, who demonstrate need, to attend a post-secondary school at the undergraduate level. The Financial Assistance Program (FAP) provides financial assistance to employees, retirees, and their dependents for situations leading to financial hardship. The Foundation provides immediate need-based financial assistance to clients who have experienced financial hardship due to a disaster. The primary function of the regional manager is to provide support to a region of the world and all client requests from that region. If applicable, the regional manager may also manage financial consultants and/or employee staff. This includes managing a budget for their region, participating in the development and budget projections, providing consultation through local consultants during case assessment, reviewing consultant reports, making decisions on cases, evaluating performance of staff (if applicable), conducting case consultation directly with clients when needed and elevating issues or concerns to senior management. Primary responsibilities include ongoing internal review of all existing CAF programs and implementation of existing CAF program enhancements. Coordinate site visits with CAF staff or local consultants to arrange for these visits with the least disruption to the site’s activity.
