About The Position

Overview: McKim & Creed has the next step for the engineering professional with proven technical, project management, business development expertise and a desire to take a leadership role in our Planning, Development and Natural Resources (PDNR) division for overall leadership of our Tampa office, staff, and markets. Position will be based in our Tampa, FL office with business travel within the West Florida Region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related Engineering discipline) with a FL PE or ability to quickly obtain FL PE through reciprocity.
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in project delivery, client and business management to public and private sector clients managing Planning, Development & Natural Resources portfolio.
  • Must have existing relationships with clients and demonstrated past success in building new client relationships.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of the consulting engineering business and the leadership and business development skills to expand market share in the Planning, Development and Natural Resources Business Unit.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the profitable operations of the Florida region including maintaining key client relationships, developing new clients, and handling all aspects of project activity within the Planning, Development and Natural Resources (PDNR) market.
  • Responsible for P&L, expanding current revenue and meeting revenue growth targets.
  • Responsibilities include business development, marketing, staff management, monitoring of quality control systems, effective utilization of resources, recruiting, selecting, and developing team members.
  • Project management and project leadership for strategic projects and clients.
  • Marketing and business development should focus on building client relationships that result in winning new project work from existing and new clients.
  • Manage project team members and other production staff members as needed within the region.
