Job Summary: The Regional Manager reports to the Physician Services Director-Operations assigned to the Department of Pediatrics. The Regional Manager will provide daily oversight for operations of each assigned practice. Additionally, the regional manager will assess and provide recommendations on an ongoing basis for practice improvements making adjustments as needed to move each practice forward toward the 'best practice' standards. The Regional Manager will provide financial oversight for the assigned practices including the development of operational and capital budgets. The Manager recruits, hires and oversees the training and orientation for all clinical and clerical staff and provides ongoing supervision and evaluation of the staff. Administrative responsibilities include tracking monthly clinical and financial statistics, monitoring billing and collection functions, maximizing patient flow and optimizing the work environment to facilitate open communications and professional excellence. The Regional Manager will be responsible for developing positive relationships with providers and will guide staff by showing exemplary leadership skills. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices' patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation. Education: Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent management/work experience. Preferred: MBA Experience: Required: Minimum 3-5 years experience in business management, with strong financial and systems background, and strong marketing experience. Working knowledge of physician office practices. Preferred: Practice management/billing experience. Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: N/A Preferred: N/A Department Position Summary: The Regional Manager works with staff to create a culture of improvement and service excellence. Additionally, this position will have oversight of daily operations of assigned practices. This includes registration, cash collection, charge preparation, medical record documentation, referral/authorizations, related insurance and coding processes. These responsibilities include hiring, termination, training and annual competencies as well as disciplinary processes as needed. This position will promote teamwork and facilitate a smooth flow of daily operations of the practice and ensures superior customer service daily by interacting with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner. The Regional Manager will assist in the development of capital and operational budgets for assigned practices and will monitor monthly variances from the budget and implement corrective action. This position will be responsible for maintaining standards set forth by TJC and coordinating QI initiatives within the practices including adherence to regulatory requirements.
