About The Position
As a Regional Logistics Manager, you will be responsible to manage the workflow, performance, and outcomes of a team of approximately 12 direct reports across multiple sites pharmaceutical fulfillment operations and delivery services Requirements Great Career Opportunity in Long-Term Care Pharmacy! Now Hiring – Regional Logistics Manager in Walpole, MA Hours: Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday 8:30AM - 6PM EST Business travel to Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Rocky Hill, Connecticut - 1 week every 2 months (frequency will reduce over time) Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy – We are a long-term care pharmacy that provides specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. Requirements
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, are essential to this position.
- There is ample opportunity to communicate with clients at a variety of levels, from group home staffs up through top executives, and represent the best of Tarrytown Expocare
- There is ample opportunity for tactical and strategic involvement with many operational teams within Tarrytown Expocare; Pharmacy Production, Client Relations, and support teams such as Triage and Onboarding
- Strong understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping
- The drive to develop continuous improvements in the Distribution department
- We have robust Information Technology tools and processes, so the ability to rapidly learn and master four specific software tools we use to run the business is essential Pharmacy operations, routing, dispatch and FedEx
- Ability to rapidly learn the locations and organizational structure of the ~120 Facilities and ~1200 locations we serve
- Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
- Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance
Nice To Haves
- FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a Plus
- Experience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Shipping Clerks responsible for ~ 300 same day deliveries via courier
- Oversee the Shipping Clerks responsible for priority overnight/FedEx deliveries
- Oversee the Shipping Clerks responsible for preparing ~1200 once monthly shipments
- Manage the relationship with our Courier Delivery partner – from two distribution centers and 25 drivers
- Actively maintain and improve our existing territory model for last mile deliveries
- Troubleshoot delivery exceptions and assure prompt resolution
- Perform light inventory and place orders for certain delivery supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
