About The Position

To lead store teams in creating the most compelling customer experience around our brand and achieving favorable sales outcomes. Our retail stores are an exciting and integral channel of expansion for Blu Dot. Through this role you will be guiding and empowering teams to make the best decisions for our customers and our business growth through the lens of brand awareness, world class service, fiscal prudence, and talent development.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of retail experience, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven success leading sales-driven teams in a premium, design-focused, or furniture/home furnishings retail environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and drive profitability.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the assigned region; flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Passion for design, customer service, and creating exceptional retail experiences.
  • The candidate must be based in the western United States, be able to travel extensively within the assigned region, and have flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to Store Managers to ensure operational excellence and outstanding customer service.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing leaders and build succession pipelines across the region.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure consistent accountability across teams.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture aligned with company values.
  • Lead stores in achieving and exceeding sales goals, profitability targets, and key performance metrics (conversion, traffic, average order value, etc.).
  • Analyze sales reports and trends to identify opportunities, share insights, and adjust strategies for growth.
  • Partner with Store Managers to implement consultative selling best practices and ensure deep product knowledge.
  • Oversee regional expense management, P&L performance, and budgeting processes
  • Ensure all stores consistently deliver a best-in-class customer experience, reflecting the brand's commitment to design and service.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns in partnership with Store Managers, empowering teams to own solutions.
  • Gather and share customer insights to influence merchandising, marketing, and product development decisions.
  • Drive operational standards across the region, ensuring adherence to policies, sales processes, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, shrink control, and merchandising execution.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, HR, etc.) to support store initiatives.
  • Ensure facilities are safe, functional, and visually aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Represent the brand within regional markets and maintain awareness of competitive landscape.
  • Support marketing campaigns, community engagement, trade partnerships, and in-store events.
  • Provide input on product mix and assortments relevant to regional customer preferences.
