About The Position

AIFS Abroad is seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Director, University Relations to join our University Relations team. This pivotal role is responsible for cultivating, managing, and expanding institutional partnerships across a designated region of the U.S. You’ll serve as the primary liaison for our university partners, developing customized study abroad and internship programs, increasing student participation, and advancing our mission of providing high-impact international experiences. The annual base salary ranging from $70,000 to $75,000, plus performance-based incentives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in international or higher education administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a remote schedule
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 year of experience in client relations, sales or marketing
  • Familiarity with platforms like VIA TRM, Terradotta, or HubSpot
  • Experience with student recruitment and/or customized program development
  • International travel experience

Responsibilities

  • University Partner Account Management (45%): Build and strengthen relationships with Education Abroad offices and key campus stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor to university partners, offering expert support on AIFS Abroad programs and services. Develop collaborative relationships with on-campus offices (e.g., Honors Colleges, Advising, Career Services). Guide the creation and promotion of customized programs aligned with partner needs. Track and report on trends and opportunities for growth. Support the recruitment and management of campus-based AIFS Abroad alumni ambassadors.
  • University Sales and Strategic Outreach (40%): Create and execute a regional strategic plan to meet enrollment and partnership KPIs. Proactively pitch new programs and partnership models using tools like PandaDocs. Identify and establish new institutional relationships. Re-engage underperforming partners through tailored outreach. Represent AIFS Abroad at student-facing events including study abroad fairs, workshops, and info sessions. Collaborate with the Enrollment team to align strategies and respond to campus trends. Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the region, reporting insights that inform sales strategies, positioning, and enrollment forecasting.
  • Administrative Duties (10%): Submit travel calendars for approval and complete monthly reports on partner activity and market trends. Maintain accurate partner records and event documentation in internal databases. Assist with reviewing partnership agreements, transcripts, and billing as needed. Manage expense reports and maintain documentation per company policies.
  • Industry Representation (5%): Represent AIFS Abroad at national and regional conferences. Contribute to the field through presentations, written pieces, and committee service. Propose conference sessions that highlight AIFS Abroad' s core values: Cultural Engagement, Sustainability, Career Readiness, and Academic Excellence.
