About The Position

Iris Senior Living is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations to oversee multiple freestanding memory care assisted living communities across Oklahoma and Texas. This leadership role is responsible for driving occupancy, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and team development while ensuring an exceptional resident experience. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel and strong on-site leadership presence. You’ll partner closely with Executive Directors and Home Office leadership to execute strategy, build strong teams, and deliver results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of multi-site leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or related field
  • Proven success driving occupancy, financial results, and operational performance
  • Strong knowledge of assisted living and/or memory care regulations
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Financial acumen and ability to translate data into action
  • Strong communication, accountability, and decision-making skills
  • Based in Oklahoma City, OK
  • Travel required: 25–50% (including overnight stays)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to support operations during evenings/weekends as needed
  • Ability to serve as Interim Executive Director, when needed, at OK and TX communities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Frequent walking, standing, and mobility across communities

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and hold Executive Directors accountable for performance
  • Implement company strategies and operational standards
  • Maintain consistent on-site presence across communities
  • Manage budgets, revenue, NOI, and expenses
  • Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and collaboration
  • Address performance concerns and provide ongoing coaching
  • Ensure high-quality care in partnership with clinical leadership
  • Resolve resident and family concerns professionally and promptly
  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and engagement
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (AL/MC)
  • Lead survey readiness and support successful inspections
  • Oversee plans of correction and ongoing compliance efforts
  • Regularly walk each community to review maintenance standards, suites, common areas, and adjacent grounds
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to drive census growth
  • Support execution of community-level marketing plans
  • Monitor and improve lead conversion performance
