About The Position

Join Our Team at Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. We’re looking for a strategic and people-focused Regional Director of Operations to lead and support clinic operations across our San Luis Valley region. In this role, you’ll provide direction, mentorship, and oversight to regional leadership while driving performance across patient care, employee engagement, and financial outcomes. You’ll play a key role in advancing our mission by fostering a culture of quality, service, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years of operations experience, including at least 5 years leading multi-site teams
  • Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders
  • Experience driving operational performance, implementing strategic initiatives, and managing change
  • Financial and business acumen, including experience with budgeting and productivity management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working in healthcare or a similar complex service environment preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across assigned region

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and operational oversight for an assigned region, ensuring alignment with Valley-Wide’s strategic goals
  • Drive operational performance across clinics, focusing on quality, patient experience, employee engagement, and financial outcomes
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site coordinators and regional leadership to build strong, high-performing teams
  • Champion Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and ensure successful implementation of clinical and operational strategies
  • Partner with department leaders to execute key initiatives related to service delivery, quality, growth, and workforce development
  • Oversee regional budgets, productivity, and resource allocation to support sustainable financial performance
  • Establish and maintain a metrics-driven culture, ensuring KPIs align with organizational priorities
  • Facilitate effective, solutions-focused meetings with leadership that encourage collaboration and accountability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and community partners to support patient-centered care
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership, including regular communication with the Chief Operations Officer
