About The Position

A leading healthcare services organization is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations to oversee and drive performance across multiple operational functions, including Sterile Processing, Transportation, and Facilities. This role is responsible for delivering strategic leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency across all regional sites while aligning with organizational growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards across healthcare operations and transportation environments
  • Proven ability to develop leaders and drive team performance
  • Experience managing operations in high-growth or multi-site environments
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities
  • 10+ years of operational experience, including 5+ years in multi-site leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple operational functions (SPD, logistics, facilities, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or equivalent strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership oversight across Sterile Processing, Transportation, and Facilities operations
  • Lead and develop site-level Directors, Managers, and Coordinators across multiple disciplines
  • Establish regional priorities, performance goals, and standardized operating procedures
  • Align site operations with organizational strategy and regional growth initiatives
  • Drive cross-functional integration to ensure seamless execution
  • Ensure adherence to AAMI, CDC, CMS, DOT, OSHA, and accreditation standards across all sites
  • Oversee audit readiness, inspections, and regulatory compliance
  • Standardize workflows, documentation, and operational processes
  • Monitor performance trends and proactively address operational risks
  • Mentor and coach site-level leadership teams
  • Build leadership pipelines and succession plans in collaboration with HR
  • Drive performance management and accountability frameworks
  • Support hiring and onboarding for key leadership roles
  • Own regional performance metrics including quality, turnaround time, and service reliability
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Identify and scale best practices across sites
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and outcomes
  • Serve as the regional operational leader in collaboration with clinical partners and health systems
  • Align operations with customer expectations and service-level commitments
  • Partner with internal teams across Operations, Logistics, and Facilities
  • Represent the region in executive-level discussions, planning, and growth initiatives
