About The Position

Under the supervision of the COO, the director of operations position oversees management of all regional operations to produce services in the most cost effective manner with maximum quality standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility as an operations manager
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience supervising the operations function in multi-state locations in a high performance, growth-oriented organization
  • Significant expertise or leadership abilities regarding: Collaboration Skills Change Agent Financial Management Business Acumen Communication Proficiency Ethical Conduct Leadership Performance Management
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function
  • Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations
  • Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team mate support needs
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Mathematical and/or analytical ability for basic to intermediate problem solving
  • Basic to intermediate computer operation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Travel: 50% - 75% (road warrior)
  • Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Manages regional practice managers to ensure that each service line is produced in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Provides day-to-day leadership and management to the organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.
  • Collaborates with the senior management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
  • Ensures standards for service quality, equipment, and personnel performance to maximize revenues. Initiates recommendations of regional clinics/practices regarding improvements and efficiencies.
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Alerts senior corporate management of cost and labor utilization. Makes recommendations and implements solutions to problems related to same.
  • Directs regional practice managers on issues including quality, effectiveness, safety, security, scheduling, training, service errors, etc. Ensures regional practice managers are adhering to company policy and administering practices in fair and equitable manner.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Manages budget and controls expenses effectively.
  • Ensures regional practice managers hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with human resources as appropriate.
  • Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
  • Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.
