About The Position

Regional Director of Clinical Services (RN) — Eastern Iowa Region Location: Frequent Travel Across the East Region of Iowa Are you a compassionate RN leader ready to make a meaningful impact? Care Initiatives is looking for a Regional Director of Clinical Services (RN) to mentor Directors of Nursing (DONs), support clinical teams, and ensure exceptional care across multiple skilled nursing communities in the Eastern Region of Iowa. As part of a highly collaborative interdisciplinary regional team — including a Regional Director of Operations, Regional Clinical Reimbursement, Regional HR, and Regional Dietician — you’ll have strong peer partnership and support. This model is uniquely designed to provide stability, resources, and ensure you are never out there alone.

Requirements

• Licensed RN in the state of Iowa.
• 5+ years in long-term care preferred; 2+ years in nursing leadership preferred.
• Strong regulatory knowledge and experience mentoring clinical leaders.
• Comfortable traveling regularly to facilities; some overnight stays required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support DONs in clinical care, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness.
• Conduct on-site visits for quality checks, assessments, and staff education.
• Lead in-services, assist with onboarding, and develop strategic nursing initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations on staffing and equipment needs.
• Support clinical programs and leverage technology to improve workflows.
