About The Position

Product leadership - Lead, coordinate and define action oriented regional growth & profit by identifying target growth customers and strategic product focused initiatives based on market, share, key customers, competitors and new technologies including input from members of the global operations, sales, service and support team Sales leadership - build organizational capabilities across regional sales and product line teams that work together to deliver organic growth. Assure internal and external sales tools are in the hands of those calling on target industry customers and lead scheduled conference calls with sales resources, serving as a hub of industry information and best practices. Provide mentoring and leadership to local Sales Engineers to ensure consistent strategy and customer messaging. External Relationships - develop executive and senior level relationships with identified target & growth accounts, drive synergy between locations to help with holistic strategic direction. Travel up to 50% Growth - Work with North American Sales selling team to identify, maintain and grow profitable business through customer relationships and channel development. Functional organizational coordination - key focal point for all strategic issues for the assigned regions and leverages the diverse view, skills and capabilities of supporting functions (supply chain, plant operations, operational excellence, finance, human resources, engineering, information technology) Work in collaboration with Product Managers to build the business case to develop new products, services and solutions that address industry needs. Project funnel - Lead and align sales efforts around opportunity identification, pursuit and closure - involving applicable Products, Systems, Solutions and Services. Provide necessary, company-wide visibility to the regional account(s) opportunity pipeline and include this critical information in all required status and results reporting. Requirements

  • Must be located within the Eastern Region of U.S. to be considered.
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in sales
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in the electrical, industrial or automation industry
  • Possess and maintains a valid and unrestricted driver's license
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.
  • Direct selling experience
  • Ability to interface at all levels and influence others' decision making.
  • Technical and product knowledge, including fundamental marketing concepts, strategies, and experience negotiating proposal and pricing with aftermarket customers.
  • Navigating complex customer issues while developing and maintaining relationships
  • Ability to thrive in a global, matrixed organization working with virtual teams across different locations and cross-cultural environments
