The US Oncology Network has an immediate need for a qualified candidate to serve as a Joint Venture Regional Controller, a senior leader supporting a portfolio of radiation oncology joint ventures. This role partners closely with Regional Operations VPs, Finance Directors, physicians, hospital partners, and practice leadership to ensure strong financial governance, disciplined cash stewardship, and high‑quality financial insights across the JV portfolio. This is a full‑time position reporting to the Senior Regional Finance Director. What You’ll Do As the JV Regional Controller, you will own the integrity, transparency, and communication of financial results for your assigned joint ventures. You will partner closely with Regional Operations VPs, physicians, hospital partners, and practice leadership to influence decisions through insight, not just data.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if candidate has relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in controllership, accounting, or finance leadership roles
  • Strong accounting foundation with the ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous environments
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, including physicians and hospital partners
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting financial information at the board or executive level

  • CPA and/or Master’s degree
  • Experience leading through change in multi‑site or matrixed organizations

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary financial leader for an assigned portfolio of joint ventures
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency of JV financial operations
  • Interpret and apply joint venture agreements, Management Services Agreements, and financial governance requirements
  • Oversee month‑end close and ensure the integrity of JV financials (GL, AP, AR, payroll, cash)
  • Lead variance analysis and clearly communicate drivers, risks, and implications
  • Prepare and deliver board‑ready financial reporting packages that translate complex financial results into clear, decision‑useful narratives
  • Present financial results directly to joint venture boards, physicians, and hospital partners, confidently addressing questions, risks, and implications
  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP, company policy, Management Services Agreements, and joint venture agreements
  • Coordinate annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and performance management processes
  • Support scenario modeling and stress‑testing of assumptions
  • Partner with operations and leadership to align financial plans with business strategy
  • Ensure disciplined cash stewardship, including payment approvals, capital contributions, distributions, and cash forecasting
  • Establish and monitor internal controls in accordance with GAAP, company policy, and JV agreements
  • Proactively identify and escalate financial, compliance, and operational risks
  • Review proposed contracts, amendments, and transactions for financial impact and risk
  • Support audits, valuations, restructurings, partner changes, and transactions as needed
  • Lead or contribute to enterprise initiatives impacting joint ventures, including process improvement, automation, and reporting enhancements
