Your focus will be on delivering strategies and programs to mitigate risk, as well as continuously evaluating and improving the efficiency of controls. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of experience in compliance, third-party risk management and/or compliance programming auditing
  • Experience in program/project management, including change management, stakeholder management, user training and communications
  • Experience with audit practices and import and export regulations
  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance training programs
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, including building complex formulas in Excel

Nice To Haves

  • US Customs Broker license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Experience managing international shipment compliance programs within a warehouse environment
  • Hands on experience working with 3PLs, Customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • The capacity to quickly learn and become adept in new software applications
  • The self-motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment
  • A solid commitment to high professional ethical standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead the on-site warehouse process for identification, analysis and prioritization of compliance-based risks, and communicate potential impacts to company leadership; utilize risk assessment reports to drive targeted efforts in monitoring and auditing to ensure risks are mitigated and resolved appropriately
  • Develop, modify, implement and provide training on compliance-related procedures and work instructions - coordinate rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives
  • Execute programs designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws and customer requirements; collaborate with company leadership to drive consistency in the approach, processes and tools
  • Manage, assign and ensure resolution of customer escalations related to international shipments
  • Lead the development of processes that track, monitor, trend and analyze warehouse operations and compliance with work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Create compliance improvement plans that ensure examples of warehouse operations execution of all audit plan documentation and tasks with the appropriate level of consistency and governance
  • Cross functional partnership to with domestic and international colleagues to drive consistency in the development, training and rollout of compliance processes
