Under direction of the Regional Communications Assistant Site Manager and/or Regional Communications Site Manager, the purpose of the position is to provide first line supervision for an assigned shift or support unit of a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). Employee directly supervises subordinates in the receiving, triaging and processing information; monitoring, informing and instructing customers about emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, medical and other public safety services via telephone, text, and other communication devices. Position demonstrates a comprehensive working knowledge of agency and divisional policies and procedures, resources, capabilities and services, apparatus and equipment, and use of emergency planning documents. Position develops management reports and implements administrative functions that will improve processes within the Division. Performs related work as directed.
