About The Position

If you are a Supply Chain professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career , Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Pressure Management business unit as a Regional Category Leader ! In this impactful role, you will lead sourcing activities for strategic purchases, including metal castings and forgings, across Emerson’s North America manufacturing sites. Based in Stafford, TX, you will play a key role in driving innovation and excellence within a vital category, contributing to Emerson’s continued success. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Manage key casting and forging suppliers by conducting periodic reviews and building strong, collaborative relationships. Lead negotiations with suppliers for long-term agreements and cost containment initiatives. Perform quarterly SWOT reviews of supplier performance and supply risk. Execute annual plans and contribute to shaping 3–5-year strategic plans for casting and forging categories, driving sustainable growth and innovation. Analyze cost drivers for metal and plastics categories, providing market insights to operations, sales, marketing, and product management teams. Standardize price adjustment mechanisms in contracts based on raw material changes. Identify and pursue opportunities to leverage global sites and partnerships to enhance collaboration and deliver value. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Operations, Technical, or Business. 3+ years of experience in supply chain, engineering, finance, or operations. Project and change management experience. Experience implementing supplier improvement programs. Ability to travel up to 20%. Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available). Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Experience with spend analytics methodologies and best practices. Hands-on experience managing castings or forgings in a technical buyer or supply chain-related role. Familiarity with e-Sourcing tools (e.g., ARIBA). Requirements
