About The Position

The Regional Business Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion within a designated geographic region. This role focuses on promoting and selling manufacturing products and solutions to industrial clients, distributors, and OEMs. The Regional Business Manager develops strategic sales plans and builds strong customer relationships. Home Location: Northeast United States, preferably in a city with a large airport or in proximity to Covering: Northeast area of US

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in related sales position preferred. Industrial sales a plus
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a positive attitude, aggressively self-driven personality, and willingness to succeed
  • Have the ability to digest technical data and make recommendations to customers
  • Possess presentation skills, great time management abilities, closing skills, sales planning, persistence, meeting sales and service goals.
  • Solid understanding and ability to work within Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting with the use of phone, email, mail, and site visits to existing customers as well as new prospects
  • Identify new opportunities and drive sales to and beyond related sales goals
  • Close sales by building rapport with potential customers, informing customers on product and service capabilities, and overcoming objections
  • In conjunction with Division Manager, plans and directs future projections with existing customers as well as sets monthly and annual sales goals for new customers
  • Build the trust and respect of the customers and prospective customers in their territory
  • Effectively manage all prospects including follow-up on all leads in the defined territory
  • Follow through on potential sales to completion
  • Being the face of the company
  • Ability to work within and document sales activity in CRM software
  • Attend trade shows and trade association events
  • Work within a budget and make decisions on how to utilize that budget with maximum impact
  • Up to 25% discretionary travel
  • Regularly use problem solving skills as well deescalating customer issues should they arise
  • Provide support to internal staff such as order placing and shipping departments when necessary
  • Regular follow-up with prospective customer quotes, existing customers’ satisfaction levels
