Requirements

  • 2-5 years minimum of successful sales background or direct role in industrial pipe maintenance
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Machining background or mechanical aptitude required.
  • Be willing and able to travel consistently.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, MS Office Suite, and ability to utilize CRM systems.
  • Ability to work remotely with limited supervision.
  • Ability to lift (50lbs) and demonstrate equipment effectively.
  • Complete training provided by E.H. Wachs to possess broad knowledge of the company’s product lines, services, marketing techniques, and demonstration requirements.
  • Self-Starting Initiative - Ability to learn quickly, be resourceful, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Cross Functional Communication - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, collaborate, and effectively communicate with customers and colleagues. Must be a team player with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Presentation Skills - Strong positive sales ability and presentation skills with the ability to facilitate in front of groups with clear and impactful messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Build and Maintain Customer Base You’ll build and maintain a strong customer base by traveling consistently throughout your territory to expand new business while nurturing existing relationships.
  • You’ll demonstrate Wachs portable field machining equipment with confident application knowledge and manage complex sales cycles to achieve territory sales goals.
  • Working closely with customers, inside sales, product managers, and sales leadership, you’ll ensure customer needs are clearly understood and resolved while maintaining a deep understanding of equipment capabilities and how they align with customer requirements.
  • You’ll represent our products at trade shows, juggle multiple sales projects at once, and take ownership of equipment setup and operation—all while adhering to state and federal regulations, ISO quality standards, and safety procedures as part of your commitment to delivering exceptional service and results.
  • Document Activity and Leverage Data You’ll accurately document all sales activity by maintaining up‑to‑date records in our CRM system and ensuring every customer interaction is captured.
  • You’ll also process customer quotes promptly and efficiently to support a seamless sales experience.
  • In addition, you’ll leverage these insights to identify emerging opportunities and strategically drive long‑term growth within your territory.
