About The Position

The Refugee Resettlement Program Manager is responsible for staff management and strategic program management of RAICES’ refugee resettlement services. This position is Union eligible. This position is grant-funded. If there is a substantial reduction in funding or funding ceases, the position may be terminated and/or subject to applicable CBA requirements.

Requirements

  • BSW or a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or four years of resettlement experience;
  • 3+ years of experience working with the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program;
  • 2+ years of experience in direct service provision;
  • 2+ years of project management and/or staff supervision experience.
  • 2+ Experience with Reception and Placement, Matching Grant, Refugee Cash Assistance and related post-arrival services for refugees;
  • and 2+ Experience in direct service provision to asylees, refugees or other vulnerable populations.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-5 years U.S. Refugee Admissions Program;
  • 4-5 year experience providing direct services to immigrant and refugee populations and with survivors of trauma or other vulnerable populations;
  • 2+ years Experience with Federal grant reporting; and
  • 2+ Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and strength based case management.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary leader for all managed programs with the Refugee Resettlement Program;
  • Supervises the delivery of all Reception and Placement (R&P) services, Matching Grant (MG) services, Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) services and Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) services;
  • Ensures compliance with performance standards and grant requirements, with guidance from the Resettlement Director;
  • Writes reports, conducts analysis of findings and follows up on recommendations;
  • Prepares a monitoring and evaluation report to ensure goals are met;
  • Identifies and implements actions to improve program goal attainment as necessary;
  • Leads ongoing quality assurance efforts to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines;
  • Oversees data tracking and program evaluation tools to monitor program outputs and outcomes;
  • Maintains current and up to date knowledge of US Resettlement Program;
  • Supports the Director to recruit resettlement staff;
  • Conducts intensive initial and ongoing training for staff in all aspects of program;
  • Conducts performance evaluations to ensure staff and programmatic goals are met;
  • Leads staff meetings;
  • Supports the Director in staff development and empowerment training opportunities;
  • Works closely with staff to address self-care needs and staff personal and interpersonal boundaries;
  • Submits a yearly program evaluation report to the Program Director; and,
  • Other duties as assigned.
