What the Role Involves: We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Service Superintendent to serve as the first line of technical support for our commercial refrigeration field technicians. This office-based role focuses on providing real-time troubleshooting assistance, verifying job documentation, and offering process support to maximize efficiency and billable revenue. This position will play a critical role in improving first-time-fix rates, capturing missed revenue, and developing technical capabilities within our field service teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • EPA Certification, EPA 608 minimum types I and II or Universal
  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial refrigeration technician (preferred senior-level experience)

Responsibilities

  • Review job notes, photos, billable materials, IVR check-in/out, and verify POs before technicians leave job sites.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for billing and customer history.
  • Monitor active calls to flag jobs running long and proactively assist technicians.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting guidance to reduce callbacks and speed job completion.
  • Mentor and coach junior technicians during live jobs.
  • Share best practices to help techs progress toward senior-level proficiency.
  • Standardize troubleshooting steps and work order templates.
  • Order, track, and follow up on parts and open calls.
  • Quote and bid service jobs as needed.
  • Help resolve billing disputes and ensure proper revenue capture.
  • Conduct customer follow-up calls to confirm satisfaction.
