Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic The Refrigeration/Ammonia Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, construction and modification of all refrigeration and heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment with special emphasis on ammonia refrigeration and compressors and boiler operations ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned Installs new equipment, repairs and modifies existing refrigeration/HVAC and boiler equipment. Performs necessary preventative maintenance on all equipment up to and including rebuilding compressors and boilers as needed and records necessary information. Trains other maintenance mechanics in ammonia refrigeration/HVAC/Boiler operations. Possess the ability and willingness to be state licensed, should this be mandated Assists other maintenance mechanics in their duties when time permits Ability to work with limited supervision and provides feedback to Supervisors on maintenance concerns Ability to switch from nights to days monthly.
