Refrigeration Mechanic
About The Position
We are working with an established Food Manufacturing company based in Arlington, WA. They are recruiting for a Refrigeration Mechanic to join their team on Days (Mon-Fri) on the 1st shift in return for a salary in the region of between $35-$50/hour. Duties and Responsibilities as a Refrigeration Mechanic include: Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the refrigeration systems in the plant Working with ammonia refrigeration systems and repairing system components Working with/maintaining a spiral freezer Reading of gauges and instruments Performing routine maintenance on equipment Monitoring operation of equipment Maintaining inventory of supplies and materials
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration and HVAC systems maintenance
- Certification as an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician from an accredited institution
- Experience with compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other ammonia refrigeration components
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and controls related to refrigeration
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- You should be proficient in: Refrigeration Systems
- Ammonia Refrigeration Systems
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (not required)
- Associate's degree or certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field is a plus
