Responsibilities The Referral Coordinator is responsible for referral operations at assigned clinics, establishing and standardizing systems and procedures for the distribution and use of health information throughout the organization, coordinating and referral functions with all other departments. Referral Coordinators are responsible for ensuring that all patient and accounts are financially secure by means of verification of insurance information, authorization of procedures, validating of patient demographics. Responsibilities include managing outgoing and incoming referrals, appointment scheduling, patient check-in, answering phones, and chart management. Responsible for performing various administrative, secretarial and clerical duties. #LI-MK3

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • One year of medical office experience
  • Knowledge of standard insurance companies and verification requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with Medical billing, Insurances and program processes preferred.
