About The Position

Provide legal reference services to faculty, students, judges, lawyers, and other library patrons. Supervise the law library serials process, to include hiring and training student worker help. Facilitate communication between legal vendors. Teach in the required 1L Legal Research course.

Requirements

Juris Doctorate.
Exhibits a high level of interpersonal skills to understand and solve student issues. Effective at meeting deadlines and satisfying on-demand projects while multitasking.
Will quickly become proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Innovative Interface's Millennium integrated library system program, Westlaw, Lexis Advance, Bloomberg Law, HeinOnline, Intelliconnect, and other databases and programs.
Must be a team player with a willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Provide reference services.
Provide legal research instruction.
Participate in teaching Legal Research, a required for-credit first-year course.
Manage the processing of serials materials.
Communicate with library vendors to resolve billing or access issues.
Manage the routing of current awareness articles.
Supervise and train student workers.
Participate in collection maintenance.
Participate in collection development.
Participate in current awareness research for faculty.
