About The Position

The ideal candidate should have previous experience as a mechanic/technician in the transport refrigeration industry. Commercial/residential air and/or refrigeration, welding and mechanic skills are a plus. This career opportunity is available for a self-motivated person with strong work ethics. We are willing to train the right applicant. Duties will include: Perform repairs and diagnostics on starting and charging system, cooling and re-charge, and electrical including common fault codes. Repairs include: performing leak detection procedures, compressor replacements, soldering refrigerant lines, evaporator/condenser replacements and front & rear main engine seal replacements. Perform repair and maintenance on Carrier and Thermo King reefer units in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs. Must be able to diagnose and perform proper repairs on all makes and models. Train and work to be a certified Cargobull reefer unit technician. Conform to all safety and health standards

Requirements

1-2 years of Transport Refrigeration Technical, or equivalent, experience
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Must be able to be “on-call” for after-hours service
Must have own tools
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently throughout the duration of the day
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and highly organized
