Digital Experience (DX) enhances customer experience citywide by aligning digital technologies with traditional marketing and communications efforts. DX manages and promotes the city's priority messaging, brand identity, website, digital marketing platforms, Denver 8 TV, and the city's municipal and community television stations. DX provides marketing and video production resources to city agencies and departments and administration of the city's cable franchise and public education access agreements. This is an on‐call position which will work no more than 39 hours per week. The pay for this position is $28.85/hour and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. On‐call positions may have routine or variable work schedules. In this position you can expect to work on site at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Digital Experience for the City and County of Denver is seeking videographers / camera operators for the 2026 Red Rocks Amphitheater concert season for the months of March through November. We are seeking professional camera operators who are motivated, talented, and reliable, and who have live event coverage experience. These are on-call positions with hours varying based on need. Additionally, you will also work in close coordination with house engineers to respect production workflow and ensure care of equipment. Candidates should be skilled photographers, experienced in basic lighting, picture composition, audio and other ancillary production skills for a live event. These positions work closely with the event director to ensure shots are stylistically appropriate and capture necessary information.

Requirements

  • We are looking for someone with the ability to:
  • Operate and troubleshoot broadcast quality cameras of a variety of professional models and have the artistic talent to compose, frame, focus and independently move with your shots
  • Take direction and adjust shots quickly and accurately in a wide variety of situations
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and strike tripods, lenses and other camera parts and accessories.
  • Operate remote-control cameras and shade cameras during the live production and assist the on-site engineer when needed
  • Able to work days, evenings and weekends
  • Able to work in outdoor weather that you can experience at Red Rocks.
  • Able to lift and move equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Red Rocks general season March through November
  • Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
  • Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of technical experience working with broadcast video equipment, including cameras, graphics, and audio.

Responsibilities

  • Performs multi-camera video coverage of Red Rocks concerts and special events
  • Observes sets or locations for potential problems and determines filming and lighting requirements
  • Sets up studio or locations for video production, which includes the placement of lights, props, and sets.
  • Constructs props and sets when necessary
  • Adjusts and positions television cameras and related equipment to change the focus, exposure, and lighting during taping of studio productions and live broadcasts
  • Sets up and operates audio equipment and systems for studio, remote, live, and recorded productions
  • Creates graphics and titles for studio, remote, live, and recorded productions by operating a graphics generator
  • Troubleshoots and maintains production equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
  • Researches, tests, and customizes new equipment when necessary
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
