About The Position

The Recruiting Specialist plays a key role in attracting, engaging, and hiring high-quality talent across SC Swiderski’s construction, property management, maintenance, and corporate teams throughout Wisconsin. This position partners closely with Hiring Managers and HR leadership to manage full-cycle recruiting, maintain accurate HRIS/ATS records, and deliver a positive candidate experience from first contact through onboarding. This role requires strong organization, clear communication, and a hands-on, service-oriented mindset. The Recruiting Specialist is expected to balance multiple open requisitions while supporting hiring teams with professionalism, follow-through, and Midwestern practicality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent level of education and experience is required,
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive ATS-based recruiting experience in a high volume recruiting environment,
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing an HRIS-based recruiting platform to recruit in construction, property management, and manufacturing, for both front-line and management level positions.
  • Working knowledge of recruiting best practices, applicant tracking systems, and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates, Hiring Managers, and coworkers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related business systems.
  • Comfortable recruiting for a wide range of roles, including skilled trades, technical roles, field leadership, and office positions.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative, service-oriented approach to supporting hiring teams.
  • Must have a valid Class D driver’s license to work on our job/property sites.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, work at a computer, and occasionally travel to company sites across Wisconsin.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and hiring recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for skilled trades, field leadership, property management, and corporate roles.
  • Conduct phone screens and initial candidate assessments to evaluate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Draft and post job advertisements across approved platforms and recruitment channels.
  • Represent SC Swiderski at career fairs, hiring events, trade schools, and community outreach activities as assigned.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by promoting fair and consistent hiring practices.
  • Maintain timely communication with candidates to ensure a professional and positive recruiting experience.
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking system (ATS) records for all candidates and requisitions.
  • Ensure job postings, candidate notes, interview feedback, and hiring documentation are complete and compliant.
  • Generate recruiting activity reports and hiring metrics as requested by HR leadership.
  • Support HRIS data entry related to new hires, position changes, and employee records.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of recruiting workflows and system processes.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and workforce planning priorities.
  • Coordinate interviews, prepare interview materials, and ensure consistent evaluation practices.
  • Provide guidance to Hiring Managers on recruiting best practices, labor market conditions, and candidate availability.
  • Participate in hiring discussions and support selection decisions aligned with company standards.
  • Maintain regular communication with hiring teams regarding candidate status and hiring timelines.
  • Prepare employment offers in coordination with HR leadership and Hiring Managers.
  • Communicate offer details to candidates and manage acceptance processes.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug screens, and employment verification.
  • Support onboarding logistics, including start dates, orientation scheduling, and new hire documentation.
  • Working w\ HR Generalists, Safety Managers, IT, and Hiring Managers, deliver orientation of new employees
  • Serve as a point of contact for new employees during their transition into the organization.
