About The Position

The Recruiting Specialist supports UCAP’s mission by managing the hiring process, assisting applicants, and partnering with hiring managers to create a positive and welcoming start for every new employee.

Requirements

  • You can juggle multiple recruitment activities at once, meet deadlines, and keep details running smoothly.
  • You understand the importance of confidentiality and always use discretion when working with personal and organizational information.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally - whether you’re emailing candidates, talking with hiring managers, or supporting new hires.
  • You’re comfortable managing your responsibilities independently while also collaborating as part of a team.
  • You can confidently navigate HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or GED with two (2) years of related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate job postings, review applications, schedule interviews, and keep recruitment timelines on track from start to finish.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for applicants, providing clear communication and a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Prepare new hire materials, complete background and reference checks, and help coordinate employee orientation.
  • Create and maintain complete, confidential personnel files while ensuring all recruitment and employment documentation meets regulatory requirements.
  • Enter and update employee information in the HRIS and respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims as needed.
