About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Recruiter to support a respected governmental entity in St. Lucie County. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruiting professional who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and is passionate about public service. This position offers full-time hours with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and organizational needs. The Hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (public sector experience strongly preferred)
• Experience recruiting for a governmental or municipal organization is a plus
• Familiarity with civil service rules, structured hiring processes, and compliance standards
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously

Nice To Haves

• Experience using NEOGOV applicant tracking system
• Knowledge of public sector HR practices

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of county positions (administrative, technical, professional, and field roles)
• Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job postings and recruitment strategies
• Post positions, screen applications, and coordinate interviews
• Ensure compliance with all governmental hiring regulations and policies
• Maintain accurate documentation and applicant tracking records
• Support onboarding processes and pre-employment requirements
• Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and applicants
