About The Position

Fortis Fire is seeking a dedicated Junior-Level Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team at our corporate office. Reporting into the Talent Acquisition Manager, this in-office role is essential to driving successful hiring outcomes and will involve supporting the full recruitment process, including initial candidate screening, interview scheduling, implementing process improvements, supporting manager training, and tracking key data to ensure efficiency. We’re looking for someone eager to grow within Talent Acquisition, motivated to deliver an exceptional candidate experience, and committed to creating a smooth and effective internal recruiting process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of full-cycle Talent Acquisition experience.
  • Ability to travel as required for business purposes, including site visits and job fairs.
  • Proven proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team-focused environment.
  • Commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate experience and promoting internal hiring equity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated success in multi-state hiring and understanding of varying compliance requirements preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience with major job boards (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn, Monster).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial screening of candidates to assess qualifications and fit.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve recruitment processes and outcomes.
  • Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on best recruitment practices.
  • Track and analyze recruitment data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and recruitment activities.
  • Utilize job boards and other recruitment platforms to source and attract qualified candidates.
  • Travel as required for business purposes, including site visits and job fairs.
  • Support and coordinate onboarding processes in collaboration with site onboarding points of contact, ensuring a consistent and compliant onboarding experience.
