About The Position

Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) is seeking an experienced Recruiter – Medical Staff Office (MSO) to support recruitment of healthcare professionals for our hospital and affiliated clinics. This specialized recruitment role is responsible for sourcing, vetting, and placing qualified healthcare professionals, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical or leadership roles. The Recruiter manages candidate outreach, screening, compliance verification, and onboarding support while collaborating closely with hospital leadership and department managers. The ideal candidate has experience recruiting in hospital or healthcare environments, understands the unique dynamics of rural healthcare recruitment, and can successfully manage multiple searches in a fast-paced environment. Experience recruiting for rural hospitals, particularly in the Four Corners region, is highly desirable. Work Location This position may be performed remotely or in a hybrid work arrangement. Eligible work locations include the following states: Alabama • Arizona • Colorado • Florida • Georgia • Kentucky • Michigan • Montana • New Mexico • South Carolina • Texas • Washington

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related healthcare field strongly desired
  • Experience in hospital or healthcare recruitment required
  • Strong candidate sourcing and networking abilities
  • Experience with professional platforms such as LinkedIn and healthcare job boards
  • Ability to manage multiple active searches and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and recruitment tracking tools

Nice To Haves

  • Rural hospital recruitment experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of successful candidate placements
  • Experience recruiting physicians and advanced practice providers preferred
  • Knowledge of Critical Access Hospital staffing needs preferred
