This is professional work in teaching recreation to individuals with intellectual developmentally disabilities (IDD). This employee is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining the individual's gross, fine and perceptual motor skills through structured class and leisure time activities and through assessments. This position organizes and supervises recreational programs for therapeutic purposes, to teach cooperation, sportsmanship, and fair play, and to provide healthful recreational outlets for residents.
