About The Position

THIS POSITION REQUIRES SOME WEEKDAY EVENINGS AND MOST WEEKENDS RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate and facilitate planned recreational activities both on and off campus, according to a planned schedule, with the various groups of residential clients. This position will develop team sports opportunities for residents Work cooperatively in a team relationship with RBWO leadership and staff to provide supervised care and treatment during planned recreational activities. Work with summer recreation aides, interns, and volunteers to provide safe and therapeutic recreational activities as indicated by the client’s treatment plan. Maintain safe recreation areas, including gym, art room, weight room, fields, playgrounds, pool, and ropes course. Maintain stall and equine needs as directed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required, Associate or Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working with children/adolescents, preferably in a recreation setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a current/valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Lifeguard certification or ability to complete certification is highly preferred.
