The Recovery Coach will take the lead in increasing connections with the recovery community and identifying resources previously and currently being used. This staff will also assist in community advocacy and education, evaluation of recovery supports, and development of recovery supports. RESPONSIBILITIES: Increase connection with the recovery community in assigned county. Be a part of a committee to identify the direction and process for the development of recovery supports. Seek out a wide range of individuals who have obtained sobriety and engage them in this initiative. Interview individuals in recovery to identify what resources they used to gain sobriety. Assist with the professional growth of new hires by allowing job shadowing as needed. Assist in the development and maintenance of resources for community use, including pamphlets, books, educational and training materials. Identify additional resources as requested. Develop and implement a plan for sharing this information with consumers and their families. Be a communication conduit between individuals in the recovery community and service providers. Work with the Clinician and, if applicable, the Case Manager, to collaborate on treatment planning, case consultation, and client needs. Work cooperatively with service providers as they work to meet the needs of the families in their care. Inform consumers and families about community resources and natural supports and how to utilize these in developing their recovery plans. Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employees roles and functions. For the purposes of coordination of care, follow community partner, PIHP, CMH, and agency guidelines when providing treatment with patients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or other medical treatment. Provide education to clients, family, and other involved parties on MAT. Maintain appropriate boundaries with others in the recovering community. Visit individuals in recovery for the purpose of encouraging involvement in the development of supports. Respect others and understand their needs and feelings, regardless of race, social, ethnic, economic, and religious background; have an attitude and aptitude for providing nurturance, being patient, and accepting others. Professional Growth Regular participation in supervision meetings and team meetings for the sharing of ideas, feedback and department planning. Utilize educational opportunities and resources offered by the agency and through the profession for continued development of skills and clinical expertise. Use the knowledge and skills of his/her supervisor to increase both counseling and administrative skills.
