About The Position

The Front Desk Representative is the first point of contact for all residents and visitors at B’nai B’rith. The Representative maintains professionalism while greeting and communicating with residents and visitors, monitors safety cameras, and maintains a clean and approachable environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Effective communications skills required.
  • Must have knowledge of emergency alarm system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Effective time management.
  • Professional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and maintain confidential data and information.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, vendors, and employees and direct them to their desired location.
  • Retrieve grocery carts for residents and individuals shopping on their behalf.
  • Assist with lockouts and inform management of any possible issues with locks/ keys.
  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere to those who enter the building and upon their departure.
  • Assist with parking passes for visitors that are overnight.
  • Answer and respond to calls on the security phone.
  • Respond to medical and fire alarms according to protocol.
  • Lock off the elevator for move-ins/ outs and monitor the back entrance for security.
  • Monitor security cameras.
  • Keep the front entrance neat and tidy and notify staff when additional cleaning or maintenance is needed.
  • Vacuum entrance way, clean door windows, maintain front entrance area in presentable condition.
  • Walk floor hallways in intervals to monitor building standards and secure delivery packages for residents.
  • Notify office staff of those who reach 14 overnight guest stays in a calendar year.
  • Ensure guests and homemakers sign in upon arrival and sign out upon departure.
  • Maintain up-to-date contact records for residents and organize the corresponding binder.
  • Log and communicate incidents such as medical emergencies and violations of building policies for managers and office staff.
  • Maintain and organize visitor log sheets for individual apartments and ensure spare forms are available.
  • Use a computer to print required front-desk documents.
  • Update and print resident lists for front-desk use.
  • Contribute to and maintain a healthy and productive work environment.
  • Contact local authorities during emergencies or disturbances.
  • Assist in performing wellness checks on residents as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
