About The Position

In support of Texas Bay Credit Union’s (TBCU) mission to help our members achieve their financial goals and our vision to stand out as a leading financial institution the Receptionist is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional environment for all visitors and performing all operations associated with TBCU’s plastic card program.

Requirements

  • A high school education or GED
  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience
  • Completion of required training courses
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Analytical, problem resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and a quick learner
  • Must be able to multi task and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent member service skills

  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors as they arrive in the lobby area and evaluate their needs by asking appropriate questions and listening carefully.
  • Manage the lobby experience by keeping visitors informed of wait time, and keeping an open line of communication with all staff, including leadership, regarding visitors needs.
  • Complete daily mail run, which includes but is not limited to travel between both main branch locations, sorting, and distributing mail to appropriate parties.
  • Assist with overall security of office building by maintaining proper visitor/vendor logs.
  • Providing general administrative support to the card services department in daily duties.
  • Complete visitor follow ups including but not limited to outbound calls, requests, and pending items.
  • Maintain the reception area’s cleanliness
  • Follow all TBCU updated policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all TBCU products, policies, procedures, if applicable.
  • Play an active part in helping credit union teams function smoothly and efficiently.
  • Stay alert to potential problems and propose changes to policies and programs.
  • Back-up other coworkers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • As an employee of a “Essential Business” (as defined by Texas’s Executive Order GA 14), employees are expected to continue to report to work as scheduled during state issued emergency declarations.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
