About The Position

The Receptionist at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort plays a crucial role in creating the first and lasting impression for all guests. Serving as the front-line representative, the Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing inquiries through phone, email, and walk-in interactions, and offering administrative support across multiple departments. This position requires a warm, professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, communicative, and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. In addition to guest-facing duties, this role is vital in supporting internal operations and fostering clear communication across departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience as a receptionist or comparable administrative role is preferred.
  • Must have extensive working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gmail, and Calendar).

Responsibilities

  • Phone System Management: Answer a multi-line phone system, transfer or screen all incoming calls, take messages when necessary, and ensure timely delivery to the appropriate recipients.
  • Email Response: Respond promptly and professionally to guest emails, addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns.
  • Email System Oversight: Maintain the resort's email system by organizing communications and directing them appropriately.
  • Guest Greeting: Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude; answer general questions or direct them to the appropriate department.
  • Office Supply Management: Track and manage inventory of office supplies and place orders as requested by all departments.
  • Lost & Found: Maintain a current list of Lost and Found items and ensure proper return to guests.
  • Claims Handling: Receive and document damaged item claims, and direct them to the Administration Department.
  • Donations: Collect and process donation requests efficiently.
  • Document Management: Generate correspondence, create form documents, and manage digital filing systems.
  • Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks for multiple departments including Accounting, Marketing, Skier Services, Mountain Operations, Base Operations, and Administration.
  • Mail Processing: Operate postage meter and handle bulk mailings for department managers or administration.
  • Voicemail System: Maintain and train staff on the resort's voicemail system.
  • Work Environment: Keep the administration area clean and organized.
  • Departmental Support: Assist multiple departments with various administrative projects as needed.
