About The Position

Job Summary: Provides a prompt and warm greeting to customers and visitors who enter the bank lobby. Determines the purpose of the visit. Directs visitors to a member of the Bank’s staff who can help them. Answers incoming telephone calls in an efficient, pleasant and consistent manner. Determines to whom the caller should be transferred and transfers the call. Is responsible for lobby security and keeping the lobby neat and welcoming at all times. Essential Functions: Readies the lobby for business opening and unlocks the door by business hours start time. Provides a prompt and warm greeting upon the arrival of a visitor. Inquires as to how we may help them. If there is going to be a short wait, offers a seat, coffee/water and seeks out someone who can assist them. When someone is available, directs the visitor to the appropriate staff person. Promptly answers the phone. The goal is to answer incoming calls by the third ring. Upon determining the nature of the call, transfers call to appropriate party. In the event that the party is not available to take the call, obtains permission to put the call in the party’s voicemail or to take a message. Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring the logbook and issuing visitor badges. Maintains the cleanliness of the lobby area during operating hours. Sorts mail and receives deliveries. Notifies recipients of package deliveries. Performs a variety of clerical task as assigned. Ensures confidentiality is maintained at all times. Responsible for successfully completing all required training (compliance and other). Conducts oneself in accord with the Bank’s Core Values.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer relations demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills with external and internal clients
  • Professional in appearance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone
  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Basic computer skills
