About The Position

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Walnut Ridge is seeking a Receptionist to join our front desk team. The Receptionist must be able to work independently, demonstrate an exceptional level of customer service, and awareness and respect for the confidentiality of information pertaining to residents. This is a part time position, working approximately 13 - 18 hours/week. Must be available to work every Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and one - two afternoons per week from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The wage for this position is based on experience. ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY Walnut Ridge is a beautiful senior living community conveniently located near I35/80 adjacent to the walking trails and aquatic center in Clive and in close proximty to several restaurants, retail shops and medical facilities. The campus is comprised of 116 independent living apartments, 44 assisted living apartments, 18 memory care assisted living apartments and a new skilled care center for 60 residents. The campus also houses an exceptional wellness center and warm water swiming pool. Requirements

  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Three (3) months to twelve (12) months work as a receptionist is desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with various office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line phones, postage meter, fax machines, etc.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and experience in various programs including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Publisher and Word is desired.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Responsibilities

  • The Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and public relations needed for quality care and services to all customers.
  • Answering and transferring all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Serving as an information resource
  • Performing a variety of administrative duties as assigned.
