Evans & Dixon is seeking a highly organized and personable Receptionist/Legal Assistant to join our legal team in our Overland Park, KS office. This dual-role position serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment while supporting attorneys and paralegals with essential legal administrative tasks.   • Minimum 2 years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and office equipment

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and manage front desk operations with professionalism
  • Answer and direct incoming calls; take messages and respond to inquiries
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling, setup, cleanup, and catering
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in shared office areas
  • Liaise with IT support and vendors for equipment and maintenance issues
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and make bank deposits as needed
  • Assist with furniture setup and office organization
  • Manage inventory and ordering of office supplies
  • Ensure prompt and reliable attendance
  • Draft and process legal documents including pleadings, motions, and disclosures
  • Handle client-specific invoicing and check requests
  • Manage records requests and follow-ups with providers
  • Open and maintain case files in LMS and physical formats
  • Support litigation team with filing, deposition binders, and research
  • Organize legal materials such as records, depositions, and background documents
  • Prepare and distribute BIMs for attorney review
  • Submit attorney expense reimbursements
  • Ensure prompt and reliable attendance
