About The Position

Be the Heart of Our Corporate Headquarters as a Receptionist / HR Administrative Assistant! At Inter-State Studio, we have over 90 years of experience in capturing smiles and creating memories. As the largest family-owned company in school photography and yearbook publishing, we pride ourselves on fostering a welcoming and supportive culture. We're looking for a Receptionist / HR Administrative Assistant to be the first friendly face and voice for our corporate location while supporting our HR team and other departments. Position Overview: As a Receptionist / HR Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive first impression for visitors, employees, and callers while supporting essential HR and administrative functions. This is an excellent opportunity to step into the world of Human Resources, working closely with a supportive and dynamic HR team at our corporate headquarters in Sedalia, MO.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including spreadsheets, word processing, Google Suite, and HRIS systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Problem-solving ability and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a welcoming demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen, and forward calls; greet visitors and ensure they sign in/out using the visitor log.
  • Open and close the front office area and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Sort, date stamp, and distribute mail; stock the copy room with supplies; assist with data entry projects for production, accounting, and other departments.
  • Schedule applicants for interviews and manage onboarding processes, including initiating and following up on background checks.
  • Onboard field employees into the HRIS system and upload their photos.
  • Support special HR projects as needed.
