About The Position

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Receptionist for Natchaug Hospital, Eastern Connecticut’s leading provider for children, adolescents, and adults with mental illness and substance abuse addictions. Natchaug Hospital offers a variety of programs including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment for court-involved teenage girls, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools, and chemical dependency services. The organization is committed to helping people find their way while educating and empowering individuals to participate in their own care and recovery. This per diem position involves greeting patients, reviewing demographic information, inputting data into systems, answering telephones, collecting co-pays, processing calls through Allscripts, scanning encounter forms, and managing the closeout process. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and effective teamwork within the organization and with customers. This position is on an as-needed basis, covering 1st or 2nd shifts, 7 days a week, with shifts ranging from 5.5 to 7 hours each, depending on the need.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required
Computer skills required
Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task and work effectively as a team member within the organization and with customers

Nice To Haves

Additional education preferred
1 to 2 years medical reception experience in a busy primary/urgent care office setting preferred
Scheduling, IDX and insurance knowledge preferred
